Enrolling a new student (New Admission)
The complete 2-step admission flow — personal info, batch, plan, and first payment.
Where to find it
Go to Students in the sidebar and click + New Admission. The admission flow has 2 steps.
Step 1 — Personal Info
Required fields:
- Full Name
- Phone — pick the country code (defaults to +91 India), then enter the number. For India it must be exactly 10 digits. A live validation message shows below the field.
- Gender — Male, Female, or Other
Optional fields:
- WhatsApp number — toggle "Same as phone number" on, or enter a different number with its own country code
- Date of Birth — age is calculated automatically. If the student is under 18, a Parent / Guardian section appears and Parent Name becomes required.
- Email, Address, Emergency contact name and phone, Notes
- Style & Categories — tap the style chips (these come from your batches)
Duplicate number warning: if the phone number is already registered to another student, a warning appears. This is fine for family members sharing one number — tap Yes, Continue or Change Number.
Click Save & Continue. The student is saved with status Incomplete until Step 2 is finished.
Step 2 — Batch & Payment
- Select Batch (required) — shows name, style, and timing
- Source — how they found you (Instagram, Walk-in, Referral, Google, YouTube, Friend, Other)
- Joining Date — defaults to today
- Membership Plan (required) — the end date is calculated automatically from the plan duration
- Plan Amount — pre-filled from the plan, editable
- Discount — optional amount off
- Registration Fee — toggle on to add it (your default amount is remembered for next time)
- Payment Mode — Cash, UPI, Card, Bank Transfer, or Other (type your own)
- Pay Later — toggle on if collecting nothing today
- Amount Paying Now — pre-filled with the total due, reduce it for a partial payment
- Balance Payment Commitment Date — appears when there is a balance; the date the student commits to paying the rest
A live summary shows Plan Amount + Registration Fee − Discount = Total Due, then Paying Now and Balance.
Click Complete Admission.
After admission
A success screen shows the enrollment summary with three actions:
- Send WhatsApp Welcome — opens WhatsApp with a pre-filled welcome message (plan, batch, schedule, dates, paid and balance amounts)
- View Student Profile
- Add Another Student
