Managing a batch
The batch page — roster, adding students, and the teacher attendance link.
Edit versus Manage
Two different jobs, and it saves confusion to keep them apart.
Edit changes what the batch is — name, style, teacher, days, timing, capacity, fee.
Manage opens the batch page, where you do things with it — see who is in it, add students, share an attendance link.
The roster
The batch page lists every student enrolled, with a search box for larger batches.
If you set a capacity when creating the batch, the fill indicator shows how close you are — yellow at 70%, red at 90%.
Adding students to a batch
Use Add Student To Batch and search for the student.
This is for students who already exist. A brand-new student joins their first batch through New Admission instead, which also sets up their membership and fee.
Adding an existing student to a second batch does not create a second fee. Enrolment and billing are separate — the student's membership is what they pay for, the batch is where they turn up.
The attendance link
From the batch page you can create a private link that lets a teacher mark this batch's register without a StudioPartner login.
You get a link and a 4-digit PIN. The teacher needs both.
The link is scoped to this one batch — nothing else in your studio is reachable through it.
The attendance link is a Pro feature. Full detail, including when to regenerate it, is in Batch attendance link.
Which to use for a teacher
Attendance link — they only mark this batch's register. Nothing to set up beyond the link and PIN.
Staff account — they need to see students, fees, or anything else. Add them under Team → Staff instead.
Removing a student from a batch
Removing them from the batch does not archive them or end their membership. They stay a student; they simply stop appearing on this register.
To move someone between batches, add them to the new one and remove them from the old.
