Studio holidays: auto-cancel classes
Add Diwali, Holi and other closed days once in Settings → Holidays. Classes on those days are cancelled for you and don't count in attendance %.
What it does
Add the days your studio is closed in Settings → Holidays. Every class that runs on those days is cancelled for you:
- the days do not count in anyone's attendance %
- the register for those classes cannot be marked
- teacher and batch links show the class as cancelled
No need to cancel each class by hand in Cancel classes.
The holiday calendar
Settings → Holidays shows the whole year, a month at a time. Use the arrows to move between years.
- Solid red — a holiday for all batches
- Light red — a holiday for some batches
Months already gone this year are folded away; tap Show earlier months to see them.
Below the calendar, Holidays in (the year) lists each holiday with its dates, which classes it closes and how many classes it cancelled.
Indian holidays, ready to add
Tap Indian holidays for the year's common holidays. Tap one and the Add holiday form opens with its name and date filled in.
Festival dates move every year, so some are marked (confirm date). Check them against your own calendar before saving. Holidays already added or already past cannot be picked again.
Adding a holiday
Tap Add holiday, or tap any free day on the calendar.
- Reason — for example, "Diwali"
- From and To — one day, or a range for a longer break. Holidays are added for today or later.
- All batches — on by default: every group batch that runs on those days. Turn it off to tick only the batches that close.
- Personal schedules — not closed unless you tick them
- Tap Add holiday
StudioPartner tells you how many classes it cancelled, for example "Diwali added — 6 classes cancelled".
Students are not messaged automatically. Tell them in your WhatsApp group as usual.
Leave a batch out
Some classes run even on a holiday. Tap the pencil next to the holiday to edit it, untick that batch and tap Save changes. The batch is back on the timetable from today; days already gone stay as they were.
You can change a holiday's name and its classes this way. To change its dates, delete the holiday and add it again.
Deleting a holiday
Tap the bin next to it. The classes it cancelled go back on the timetable.
A holiday with a lock instead of a bin cannot be deleted: attendance is already marked on one of its days.
Holidays that are over show Done.
Holidays and rescheduling
A class closed by a holiday is not sent to Attendance → To reschedule: the studio was closed, so there is nothing to make up for the batch.
A student on a session pack with an end date can still be owed that class. They show under Sessions owed in To reschedule, where you can add them to another batch's class as a make-up. See Cancelling and rescheduling classes.
A class closed by a holiday can only be brought back by editing or deleting the holiday, not from Cancel classes or the register.
