Host an event

Host Event is on every plan, including Free.

What it does

You create an event page, share its link, and people book from their phone. Free events cost nothing. For paid events, buyers pay by UPI, card or netbanking, and your share reaches your bank after the event.

Your event also appears on the StudioPartner events page, where dancers look for workshops near them.

Create an event

1. Go to Host Event → Create Event.
2. Add the title, banner, date and venue, and your artists.
3. Add tickets: free, or paid with one or more ticket types.
4. Choose what the booking form asks, your refund choice, and write your About and terms.
5. Publish. Your event gets its own link to share on Instagram and WhatsApp.

You can write in Hindi or English, and Preview shows exactly how it looks to buyers.

Before you sell paid tickets (once)

Go to Finance → Payout account, add your bank account and complete KYC with our payment partner, Razorpay. This usually takes 1-3 working days. You can create and publish free events before then.

What it costs

Free events are always free. On paid tickets there is a platform fee, and the buyer pays only the ticket price.

Razorpay's charge is already inside the platform fee.

Tickets and check-in

• Each buyer gets their ticket by email, with a QR code. They can also sign in to My tickets to see every ticket they booked.
• At the door, open the event and use Check-in to scan the QR. A ticket can only be used once.
• Registrations shows everyone who booked, paid or not.

When you get paid

Ticket money is held until your event is over, then released to your bank usually within 3 working days after the event ends. Finance → Settlements shows where each payment is.

Refunds

• Open the booking in Registrations → Refund. For now a paid booking is refunded in full.
• The buyer gets the money back on the card or account they paid with, usually in 5-7 working days.
• Razorpay does not return its gateway charge on a refund (about 2.36% of the amount). That cost is yours, and it comes off your payout.

Cancelling an event

If you cancel, every buyer is refunded in full automatically, including our platform fee. Only Razorpay's gateway charge, which it does not return, is yours.
