Creating a batch
Set up class groups with days, timing, capacity, and a default fee.
What is a batch?
A batch is a class group — e.g. Hip Hop Evening, Mon/Wed/Fri 6–7pm. Each batch has its own student list and attendance register, and students are assigned to a batch during admission.
Creating one
Go to Batches and click Create Batch:
- Batch Name (required) — e.g. Hip Hop Evening
- Style / Category — what is taught (Hip Hop, Bollywood, Kathak, Yoga — whatever fits your studio)
- Days (required) — tap the day chips, or use a quick preset: Mon-Fri, MWF, TTS, Weekend, Daily
- Start / End Time — hour, minute, AM/PM pickers
- Default Fee (₹/mo) — optional
- Capacity — optional; when set, every batch card shows a live fill bar (X / capacity students) that turns yellow at 70% and red at 90% — so you know when a batch is full
- Status — Active or Inactive
Click Create Batch.
The Batches page
Search by name or style, filter by style, and switch between All / Active / Inactive (Active is the default view). The header shows active batches, total enrolled, and total batches at a glance.
Each batch card has four actions: Students (see who is enrolled), Edit, Deactivate / Activate, and Delete.
Delete is safe
Deleting a batch does not destroy anything — it is hidden from your active batches but kept on record with all its attendance history and fee records, and you can reactivate it anytime.
