Import & export your data
Bring your students in from old software, and take a copy of your data out whenever you want.
Where it lives
Settings → Data management → Open import / export.
Importing from your old system
If you are moving from a spreadsheet or another piece of software, you do not have to retype anything.
Export your existing student list to a spreadsheet, then bring it in here. You will be asked to match your columns to StudioPartner's fields — your "Contact No." to phone, your "Name" to student name, and so on.
Import your students first, and create your batches and membership plans before or during the process, so students land in the right classes on the way in.
Before you import
- Get phone numbers into one consistent format
- Remove students who have already left, or import them and archive them afterwards
- Check for duplicates in the source file — it is far easier to fix there than after
If you are on the Free plan, remember the 30-student cap counts Active and Paused students. An import that would take you over the limit will not complete.
Exporting your data
You can export at any time, on any plan, including Free.
This is your data and it is never held hostage. Take a copy whenever you want one.
When to export
- Before any big change — a bulk edit, a mass status update, a large import
- At the end of a financial year, for your accountant
- Before cancelling, if you want your own copy of everything
- Periodically, simply because it costs nothing
An export is the closest thing you have to an undo button for a bulk change. Take one first.
Migration help
If your old software exports something awkward and the columns will not line up, email support@studiopartner.app and attach the file. Migrating it is a normal request, not an imposition.
