Fees page filters
What each chip on the Fees page actually selects — and why Pending shows more than you expect.
Seven chips, seven questions
The chips across the Fees page are not seven views of the same list. Each one asks a different question, and three of them ignore the status badge entirely.
All
Every invoice, narrowed by the date period you have picked. Invoices that have taken money sort to the top, most recent collection first.
Pending
Every invoice with a balance still owing. Any status, any age. A Partial invoice appears here and under Partial — that is intended: Partial is a slice of this total, not a separate pot.
This chip counts money, not badges. It is the one figure that always matches the Pending total on your dashboard. It also keeps showing fees for students who have dropped out — if they owe you money, it stays until it is paid or waived.
Partial
Invoices whose badge is exactly Partial. Some money in, some still out.
Paid
Invoices fully settled, inside the date period you have picked.
Expiring
Memberships ending today or within the next 7 days. The row reads Ending today, Ending tomorrow, or Ending in N days. Paid or unpaid does not matter — this is about the clock, not the money.
Paused and dropped students never appear here. A paused student's membership is frozen and extended when they resume, so it is not really expiring.
Expired
The student's most recent membership has ended and no newer one exists. One row per student, not one per invoice. Paid or unpaid does not matter — an ended membership stays here until the student renews, and renewing drops them off automatically.
Paused and dropped students are excluded here too.
Unpaid
The sharpest list on the page: students who are still turning up to class after their membership expired. They are in your studio, on your floor, not paying.
This one is built from attendance, not from invoices — so it lists students rather than fees.
Renewing from a filter
Expiring and Expired both carry a Renew button on every row. Working the Expiring list is the cheaper habit: a student reminded three days early renews far more often than one chased three weeks late.
If a list looks empty
An empty list almost never means your fees are gone. It usually means the filter you are on happens to be empty. The page tells you which filter you are viewing, how many fees the studio has in total, and gives you a one-tap way back to all of them.
